How to enjoy roleplaying a character again in play-by-post R

Hi,

How to enjoy and have fun roleplaying a character again in play-by-post roleplay (forum) after years of it?

It has been six years since I have started roleplaying and it feels like I have seen most of it, there is no feeling of anything new and wonderful as I have seen plenty of different characters, and it takes so long to have the good storyline started. The character I RP just doesn't seem interesting when compared to others, and results in less interaction. How to bring that spark back and enjoy roleplaying the character in post-by-post forum RP again?
